Veritas' Boss Abseils To Inspect Work Quality Of Glomac Damansara
KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 27 (Bernama) - Architectural firm, Veritas Sdn Bhd, is all set to complete its task on Glomac Damansara Residences and hand over the project to Glomac Bhd by early April.
Group President David Mizan Hashim said the handover of the residential units in Block B, C and D will be done after minor touch ups on the external building which will take a few weeks.
He personally inspected the building by abseiling to do a final check on the external features, a daring feat that never been undertaken in the world by an architect for a final site inspection of a building prior to handing over to the owner.
He abseiled from the rooftop of Block B of Tower 1 of Glomac Damansara, covering a height of 126 metres or 26 floors from the podium level.
"I find this building's workmanship is good. I just want to make sure the quality is perfected. This is the purpose of my site visit today," he told reporters.
David would continue to abseil for other Varitas' projects.
The Glomac Damansara, which sits on 6.8 acres of freehold land, features 12 units of five and eight-storey shop offices anchored by a 16-storey office block, two towers of residential units, a 25-storey office tower and a retail mall.
Glomac Bhd Group Executive Chairman Tan Sri Mohamed Mansor Fateh Din said the buildings, perched on a prime location at Taman Tun Dr Ismail, will soon have the added benefit of easy access to the planned TTDI MRT station.
The two 26-storey tower blocks, which house 356 units of serviced apartments, are almost sold out, he said.
The Glomac Marketing Division said the final phase of the Glomac Damansara is the 360,000 square feet retail mall, called GLO Damansara, is currently valued at RM378 million.
The five-storey mall, in the final phase of construction, is expected to be launched by year-end.
