Forty-Eight People Die In Saudi Arabia Floods
JEDDAH, Nov 26 (Bernama)-- A total of 48 people died as a result of heavy rains and floods in Jeddah, Mecca and Rabegh in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on Wednesday while more than 900 were rescued, Saudi Arabia's SPA news agency reported.
It reported the Directorate-General of Civil Defense in Mecca as saying in a statement that the heavy rains and floods had also caused some houses to collapse.
A number of cars were also swept away due to the heavy rains and floods, the statement added.
