OIC Chief Welcomes UN General Assembly's Resolution On Goldstone Report

JEDDAH, Nov 7 (Bernama) -- The Secretary General of the Organisation of the Islamic Conference (OIC), Professor Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu, has welcomed the adoption by the United Nations General Assembly of its latest resolution on the 'Follow-up to the Report of the UN Fact-Finding Mission on Gaza Conflict', Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.

In a press statement issued here on Friday, Prof. Ihsanoglu called for carrying through endeavors that are slated to ensure that international justice and full implementation of the resolution are achieved.

The Secretary General lauded the coordinated efforts deployed by the OIC Ambassadorial Group in New York which contributed to securing a majority vote on the resolution, reflecting hence the will of the international community and its rejection of the violations committed by Israel in Palestine.
