Yemeni Candidate Runs For Governing US City

SANA'A, Nov 6 (Bernama)-- A Yemeni American candidate, Abdul- Kareem al-Ghazli, is contesting to be elected as the governor of Hamtramck city in the U.S. State of Michigan, Yemen news agency (Saba) reported.

Preparatory elections set him as a strong candidate against the current governor of the city which increase the possibility for him to win the elections, Saba quoted the state-run Arabic website 26sep.net's report.

A high percentage of Yemenis as well as Bengalis, Albanians and Bosnians live in this state who are expected to vote for al-Ghazli.
