Terengganu Masters Kicks Off
KUALA TERENGGANU, Oct 31 (Bernama) -- The four-day 2009 Terengganu Masters golf invitational kicked off at the Kuala Terengganu Golf Resort here on Saturday.
Terengganu Golf Association president Zubir Azhari, who is also chairman of the organisating committee, said besides 75 locals, the tournament also attracted seven professional players from Singapore, Japan, Thailand, Taiwan and South Korea.
"The competing field is smaller this year because there are also many other international competitions taking place this time of the year," he told Bernama.
Among the big local names are P Gunasegaran, Shaaban Husin, S Sivachandran, Mohd Sukree Othman and M Ramayah.
