Ceremony To Emplace Royal Regalia Today.

KUALA PILAH, Oct 22 (Bernama) -- The installation of Tuanku Muhriz Tuanku Munawir as the 11th Yang Dipertuan Besar of Negeri Sembilan on Oct 26 began with a ceremony to emplace the Negri Sembilan Royal Regalia in the forecourt of Istana Besar Seri Menanti near here Thursday.

The duty of bearing the Royal Regalia from Balairong Seri to Istana Besar Seri Menanti began at about 9am and was preformed by 99 Ceremonial guards led by Datuk Seri Amar Diraja Ahmad Minar, after getting the consent of Tunku Besar Seri Menanti Tunku Ali Redhauddin Tuanku Muhriz.

Items in the Negeri Sembilan Royal Regalia are eight yellow-fringed umbrella; eight tassled lances; eight long sabres; and eight 'tonggol' bearing the state's royal colours of yellow, black and red; and these were placed on a special table.

The Royal Regalia were then borne out of Istana Besar Seri Menanti and emplaced at a special place in the forecourt of Istana Besar Seri Menanti.

The ceremony ended with the firing of a two-gun salute.

The Royal Regalia will be in the palace's forecourt for seven days before being returned on Oct 28.
