Floods: Four KTMB Train Services In East Coast Sector Suspended
KUALA LUMPUR, 24 Nov (Bernama) -- Four Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad's (KTMB) inter-city train services for the east coast sector are still suspended due to the floods in Kelantan.
KTMB, in a statement Tuesday said, the situation also forced the cancellation of the Ekspres Wau train service from Tumpat to Kuala Lumpur and the Ekspres Timuran from Tumpat to Singapore.
The Ekspres Wau service from Kuala Lumpur to Tumpat and the Ekspres Timuran for Singapore to Tumpat will end at the Gua Musang station, following which passengers will be sent to Tumpat by bus.
Passengers who had bought tickets for the cancelled train service could change the date for their trip or ask for refund at any KTMB stations.
KTMB would make announcement from time to time on its train service and for enquiries, the public could call KTMB at 03-22671200.
Meanwhile in KUALA KRAI, KTMB manager (East Region) Ibrahim Sulaiman said the Ekspres Wau and Ekspres Timuran train services were cancelled due to a landslide between Bukit Abu and Dabong.
However, he said workers were clearing the tracks of earth from the landslide and expected the route to be opened Wednesday.
