KTM Train Services To East Coast Disrupted By Floods

KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 23 (Bernama) -- KTM Berhad Monday cancelled two scheduled train services from Kelantan as floods in Kelantan and Terengganu saw disruption in services to the East Coast.

According to a statement from KTM Berhad, the Ekspres Wau from Tumpat to Kuala Lumpur and Ekspres Timuran from Tumpat to Singapore were cancelled while Ekspres Wau from Kuala Lumpur to Tumpat and Ekspres Timuran from Singapore to Tumpat was terminated at Gua Musang.

The onward passengers were sent by bus said the statement.

KTMB added that passengers who had bought tickets for the cancelled sectors can either change the date for their journey or reclaim their money at the nearest KTM Berhad stations.

"The suspension and cancellation period of services to the East Coast will depend on the situation," said the statement.

KTM Berhad also apologized to the public for the inconveniences caused and urged the public to contact KTMB at 03-22671200 for latest details.
