KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 22 (Bernama) -- The flood situation in Terengganu and Kelantan has taken a turn for the worse with all districts in Terengganu affected except for Kuala Terengganu.

The water levels at the states main rivers, Sungai Berang in Hulu Terengganu, Sungai Marang and Sungai Dungun, had also exceeded their danger marks this afternoon, he said.
He added that no casualties had been recorded thus far in the state because of the floods.
In KELANTAN, a state flood operations room spokesman in Kota Baharu said the breakdown of victims housed in shelters was 724 in Pasir Mas, Kuala Krai (635), Tanah Merah (264), Pasir Puteh (36) and Machang (four).
He said the federal roads linking Kelantan to Terengganu, Kota Baharu to Gua Musang and Gerik to Jeli still were passable to light vehicles while the road linking Kota Baharu and Kuala Krai at Kampung Sungai Durian, Batu Lapan and also the road from Rantau Panjang to Panglima Bayu could only be used by heavy vehicles.
The water levels at the main measuring points of Sungai Golok and Sungai Kelantan were all above the danger mark, he said.
He also warned Kota Baharu residents to be on alert as the measuring point at the Tambatan Diraja was at 4.80 metres and nearing the danger mark (five metres).
No casualties have been reported in this second wave of flooding in Kelantan this month.
In KUANTAN, till 5pm, 22 victims from three families had been placed in relief centres after their homes in Kampung Sungai Ular became inundated, said a spokesman from the state flood operations room.
"Evacuation only involved Kuantan, no evacuations have been reported in other districts in Pahang," he said.
In IPOH, a spokesman at the Kerian flood operations room said flood victims remain sheltered at four schools in the district - Sekolah Kebangsaan Bagan Serai, Sekolah Jenis Kebangsaan Tamil (SJKT) Bagan Serai, Sekolah Kebangsaan Matang Buluh and SJKT Simpang Lima.
"The villages still inundated are Ladang Sungai Bogak, Ladang Sungai Kerian, Kampung Euw Sing and Kampung Parit Simpang Lima. They are inundated under more that a metre of water following the Bukit Merah dam releasing excess water and the Sungai Beriah overflowing its banks as a result of incessant rain the last 10 day," he said.
