Air- Cond System Malfunctions So Kedah Assembly Sitting Adjourned

ALOR SETAR, Nov 19 (Bernama) -- The third day of the state legislative assembly sitting was on Thursday adjourned to Sunday after the air-conditioning system inside the meeting hall malfunctioned, causing heat and discomfort.

Speaker Datuk Dr Abdul Isa Ismail announced the adjournment after Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Azizan Abdul Razak suggested that the sitting be postponed, which was supported by Datuk Phahrolrazi Zawawi (PAS-Pengkalan Kundor).

"Due to the heat, I now adjourn the sitting to Sunday," Abdul Isa said.

Today is to be the final day of the debate on the motion of thanks on the address of the Sultan of Kedah Sultan Abdul Halim Mu'adzam Shah, with the winding up scheduled later in the afternoon.
