World Assembly Of Youth To Celebrate 60th Anniversary In Melaka
MELAKA, Nov 13 (Bernama) -- About 200 delegates from 70 countries are expected to attend the 60th anniversary of the World Assembly of Youth (WAY) celebration here on Dec 11.
WAY president Datuk Seri Mohd Ali Rustam said several events had been lined up for the celebration under the theme of "One Youth-One World, We are the World".
The presentation of the WAY Cup and a youth concert will be held at the Hang Jebat Stadium here in conjunction with the celebration, he told reporters here on Friday.
Mohd Ali, who is also Melaka Chief Minister, the WAY Complex in Ayer Keroh would also be officially opened to mark the anniversary.
WAY, which was set up in London in 1949, is now headquartered in Melaka.
