Kedah Flood Improving

ALOR SETAR, Nov 11 (Bernama) -- The flood situation in Kedah has improved with only 987 victims left at four relief centres in Kota Setar district compared to 1,089 at noon Wednesday.

A state flood operation room spokesman said the four relief centres were at SK Gunong (596 victims), SK Titi Gajah (282), SMK Kepala Batas (93) and Kampung Bohor community hall (16).

The water level at Sungai Pantai Johor, Kota Setar was at 2.05 metres, above the 2.00 metre danger level.

Meanwhile, 325 people from 11 kampungs in Kulim district were evacuated last night after flood hit Karangan, Nagalilit, Bagan Sena, Sungai Seluang and Sungai Ular.
