Two Of Four Siblings In Accident Reported Stable

KUALA TERENGGANU, Oct 25 (Bernama) -- Two of four siblings injured in an accident at the 123km stretch of Jalan Jerangau-Jabor near Padang Kubu, Kemaman last Friday, are reported in stable condition.

Their uncle, Ramli Taib, told reporters Sunday that Aishah Natasha Baharuddin, four, who was being treated at the Tengku Ampuan Afzan Hospital (HTAA) in Kuantan, had regained consciousness and was able to drink.

He said that eight-year-old Ekmal Rizal, who is undergoing treatment at the Sultanah Nur Zahirah Hospital (HSNZ), was also showing positive signs and could eat and drink.

However, there was no change in the conditions of Aishah Nabila, 10, and Aidil Shahidan, 12, who have been warded at HSNZ and HTAA, respectively.

The 7.30pm accident took the lives of the children's father, Baharuddin Taib, 45, mother, Maimun Ibrahim, 40, grandmother, Esah Salleh, 80, and youngest sibling Mohd Nor Firdaus, two.

The car driven by Baharuddin collided with two other cars before it burst into flames.
