Roads Closed For Installation Of Yamtuan
SEREMBAN, Oct 24 (Bernama) -- Several roads leading to the Istana Besar Seri Menanti, Kuala Pilah will be closed in conjunction with the installation of the 11th Yang di-Pertuan Besar of Negeri Sembilan, Tuanku Muhriz ibni Almarhum Tuanku Munawir, on Monday.
Negeri Sembilan Traffic Police Chief, Supt Junaidi Bujang said the road closure on Monday would be implemented in two stages, that is, from 6am until 11am, and 2pm until 3pm while the road closure on Tuesday would be from 5pm until 8.30pm.
"The affected roads are the stretch from the Senawang Toll Plaza to the Paroi traffic light junction, the roundabout near the menteri besar's residence to the Tuan Haji Said roundabout and Jalan Ampangan, Bukit Putus new road, Terachi Cultural Village and Istana Besar Seri Menanti," he said in a statement, here Saturday.
He said the road closure was to facilitate the flow of the royal convoy and dignitaries to the designated destinations.
As such, he advised road users to avoid the roads concerned on the stipulated day and time so that they would not be trapped in traffic congestions.
Supt Junaidi said traffic policemen would be deployed at the affected road junctions.
