Moderate Air Quality In Four Areas

KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 18 (Bernama) -- Four areas in the country recorded moderate air quality while in 46 other areas, the air quality is good, according to the Department of Environment's website.

It stated that the areas with moderate air quality were Kota Tinggi, Johor (51); Kuantan, Pahang (54); Samarahan (51) and Sri Aman (51) in Sarawak.

Among the areas with good air quality are Alor Setar, Kedah (22); Tanah Merah, Kelantan (33); Melaka (30); Port Dickson, Negeri Sembilan (42); Taiping, Perak (32); Perai, Penang (28) and Limbang, Sarawak (22).

Kuala Selangor, Port Klang and Petaling Jaya in Selangor also recorded good air quality with the Air Pollutant Index (API) readings at 42, 36 and 26, respectively.
