Raja Muda Of Perlis Urges Malaysians In Saudi Arabia To Get Investors
KANGAR, Oct 15 (Bernama) -- The Raja Muda of Perlis, Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra Jamalullail, has urged Malaysians in Saudi Arabia to help the government rope in investors besides promoting the country as a special tourist destination.
According to him they also needed to expand their cooperation network in Saudi Arabia to make their dealings easier including in efforts to get investors and promote tourism.
In his speech at a Hari Raya open house organised by the Consul General in Jeddah yesterday, the text of which was sent to Bernama, he called on Malaysians to always uphold the good name of Malaysia.
"Prove that Malaysia is an examplary progressive country," the Raja Muda said before about 500 Malaysians from around Jeddah who attended the open house.
Besides that they also had to prove to their employers in Saudi Arabia that Malaysians had quality and were competitive in the job market at the international level though their work ethic of integrity, efficiency and hard work.
The Raja Muda also advised housewives to not let opportunities pass them by in Saudi Arabia by increasing their knowledge and skills.
For example, when returning to Malaysia they would have learned Arabic and be skilled in arts and crafts that could benefir the economy.
He also reminded parents whose children were in international schools to not let their children neglect the use of Bahasa Malaysia so as not to face problems when they return due to being exposed to foreign languages.
The Raja Muda of Perlis and Raja Puan Muda Perlis, Tuanku Hajah Lailatul Shahreen, arrived in Jeddah yesterday and were received by the Malaysian Consul General, Hidayat Abdul Hamid, when they landed at the King Abdul Aziz International Airport.
They are on a five-day visit to Saudi Arabia.
