Disruption Of Internet In Eastern Sandakan, Sabah

KUALA LUMPUR, July 27 (Bernama) -- Telekom Malaysia Berhad (TM) said a fire at its exchange in Sandakan, Sabah has disrupted internet, data and audio to customers in eastern Sandakan.

A TM statement Monday said services disrupted include data like Telefoni, IPVPN, Metro-E, TM Direct and Streamyx/DSL.

It will also affect customers in Tawau, Lahad Datu, Semporna and nearby areas.

"TM customers in Sandakan can only make local calls. They can't make national calls (STD) and international calls (IDD).

"However, telephone service to other areas is not affected. Outside calls to fixed lines in Sandakan will also be affected."

The statement said customers could not access internet to surf, download or play online, transact data using ATMs and use applications for online transactions.

Customers can contact TM by calling 100 to report service problem.
