English: Education Ministry Opens Line For Suggestions
KUALA LUMPUR, June 9 (Bernama)-- Members of the public can give their suggestions and views by phone or e-mail on the issue of making a pass in English compulsory in the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) examination.
They can call the Education Ministry's customer service line at 03-77237070 or send e-mails to kpkpm@moe.gov.my, a ministry statement here says.
Yesterday Deputy Prime Minister and Education Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin invited views from the public on a compulsory SPM pass in English.
Earlier, he was informed that many students in the rural areas would fail the SPM if a pass in English was made compulsory.
