EC Displays Electoral Rolls For By-Elections

PUTRAJAYA, Feb 27 (Bernama) -- Voters in the Bukit Gantang parliamentary and Bukit Selambau state by-elections can now check their particulars in the electoral roll.

Election Commission secretary Datuk Ngah Senik said the electoral register contained the electors serial numbers and the location of the polling stations and streams.

The particulars can be checked via the EC website, www.spr.gov.my, short messaging service (SMS) and at the EC operation rooms in Perak (tel 05-2547189) and Kedah (tel: 04-7001313 or 04-7001303, he said in a statement today.

He said the electoral roll had been displayed since Wednesday and 35 sen would be charged for an enquiry.

"For an SMS enquiry, type SPR SEMAK identity card number and send to 15888," he said.

Checks can be made at the EC operation rooms from 8am to 5pm from tomorrow until March 28 and from 8am to 10pm from March 29 to April 6. The operation room is closed at 5pm on April 7.
