Citibank Named As Best Card Issuer In Southeast Asia
KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 4 (Bernama) -- Citibank has been named the "Best Card Issuer in Southeast Asia and Malaysia" in the Lafferty Asia Payment Cards Awards 2009.
The awards, the first of its kind in the region which polled over 5,000 consumers in Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore and Thailand, also saw Citibank selected as the "Most Trusted Card Issuer" and "Best Premium Credit Card Issuer" in the region.
Citibank Berhad's chief executive officer Sanjeev Nanavati said the bank was thrilled that consumers recognised its commitment to providing them with the best value propositions to meet their varied needs.
"Winning the prestigious poll is an important endorsement and a great vote of confidence from consumers for the Citibank brand," he said in a statement here Wednesday.
Citibank was named best card issuer based on scores obtained for meeting customers' needs, acquiring and retaining customers, advocacy, relevance and uniqueness.
