Microsoft Malaysia Launches Windows 7

KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 3 (Bernama) -- Amidst much anticipation and fanfare, Microsoft Malaysia launched on Tuesday its groundbreaking personal computer(PC) operating system, Windows 7.

The new operating system offers a streamlined user interface and significant new features that make everyday tasks easier while allowing people to get the most out of computers of all styles and sizes.

The Malaysian availability of Windows 7 is joined by an unprecedented array of new PCs and software programs.

Yasmin Mahmood, the managing director of Microsoft Malaysia, said that the company is very enthusiastic about Windows 7 in Malaysia and the launch today was a big day for the IT industry as a whole.

"With Windows 7 immediately available to all Malaysians nationwide, the everyday PC experience is now better in simpler, faster and more responsive ways," she said in a statement.

The estimated six million Malaysians who use Windows, can now upgrade their PCs.
