Sarawak To Host International Energy Week
KUCHING, Oct 24 (Bernama) -- Industry professionals from the region's power and petroleum industry is set to convene in Kuching for a three-day International Energy Week (IEW) 2009 beginning Nov 3.
Sarawak Convention Bureau Chief Executive Officer Jill Henry said it would provide participants business partnerships and generate business and investment opportunities in the multi-billion dollar Sarawak Corridor of Renewable Energy.
" Hosting this prestigious event will help add to the credibility of Sarawak as a new hub for international exhibition. Our unique destination offering rainforest side-by-side with a booming export economy means that delegates will have a memorable and productive meeting," she said in a statement here on Saturday.
Hosted by the Sarawak government, the IEW 2009 will welcome over 5,000 delegates and trade buyers from the energy sector from across the region.
Exhibitors include top industry players such as BC Petrochemical Sdn Bhd, Bintulu Port Sdn Bhd, Nippon Oil Exploration, Petroleum Technical Services Corporation-Vietnam, Petronas, Sapuracrest Petroleum Berhad, Sarawak Shell Berhad, Siemens Malaysia, Sirim Berhad, Yangtze Three Gorges Technology and Economy Development Co. Ltd.
