Malaysia To Attend Asia Cooperation Dialogue In Colombo
KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 12 (Bernama) -- Deputy Foreign Minister Senator A. Kohilan Pillay will head the Malaysian delegation at the 8th Asia Cooperation Dialogue (ACD) in Colombo, Sri Lanka, which starts on Wednesday.
According to a Wisma Putra statement today, the two-day meeting would provide Malaysia an opportunity to voice its stand on regional and international issues while improving cooperation with the dialogue's participating countries.
The Malaysian delegation comprises senior officers from the foreign and higher education ministries and the Asia e-University.
The theme of this year's meeting is 'Spirit of Asia: Global Economic Recovery and Development Prospects'.
ACD brings together 31 countries including Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Bangladesh, Bhutan, China, India, Japan, Iran, Kazakhstan, South Korea, Kuwait, Oman, Pakistan, Russia, Sri Lanka, Tajikistan, Kyrgyz Republic and Malaysia.
