| Three In A Family Killed In Accident |

SUNGAI PETANI, Nov 22 (Bernama) -- Three in a family were killed in an accident when the van they were travelling in skidded and hit a tree at Km 108.8, North-South Expressway here this Sunday's morning.
Those killed are Ismail Ahmad, 53, his wife Solahan Ahmad, 45, and their son Mohamad Salahuddin, 15.
Their two daughters Ismalini, 23, and Siti Nur Ain, 21, were seriously injured in the 7.45am incident while their three other children Nor Rahmah, 18, Nor Sakinah, 13, and Ismaliza, 28, sustained minor injuries.
Those injured are now receiving treatment at the Sultan Abdul Halim Hospital in Sungai Petani.
Ismail's younger sister Siti Aishah Ahmad, 38, said the family were from their home in Sungai Udang, Melaka to visit a relative in Kampung Bujur, Sungai Limau Dalam, Yan and Jerlun, in Kedah.
