Two American Latin Tourists Plead Not Guilty To Robbing German Diamond Trader


KLANG, Nov 20 (Bernama) -- Two American Latin tourists were charged in the Sessions Court here with robbing a German diamond trader last month.

Gavidia Diaz @ Jose Eleazor, 31, from Venezuela, and Yuri Lorena, 21, from Columbia pleaded not guilty and claimed trial.

They are charged with robbing Lior Dagan of 153 pieces of diamonds, a passport, two handphones and two credit cards, all worth more than RM2 million, while armed with a knife.

The offence was allegedly committed at KM3, Jalan Lapangan Terbang Antarabangsa Kuala Lumpur (KLIA), Sepang, at about 6.45pm on Oct 29 this year.

Judge Datuk Anita Harun refused them bail and fixed Dec 23 to enable them to engage counsel.

Deputy public prosecutor Nurul Maisarah Kamal prosecuted.
