Four Indian Illegals Among Six Detained Over Cyber Cafe Break-In


KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 3 (Bernama) -- Four Indian illegal immigrants were among six people detained over a cyber cafe break-in at Desa Hartamas last week.

Brickfields police chief ACP Wan Abdul Bari Wan Abdul Khalid said two others detained were Malaysians.

He said five suspects were detained in Jalan Desa Sri Hartamas while the other, a sub-contractor, was detained in Jalan Tun Sambanthan on Friday.

Police seized a van and recovered a Pioneer home theatre set, two blenders, three air-conditioners and compressors, an oven, 28 chairs, a flour mixer, rice cooker, a cable, fan and a laser lamp.

Wan Abdul Bari said they also seized three cameras, a CCTV, two LCD TV, a wall clock and an alluminium tray.

The male suspects were believed to have broken into the cyber cafe on Oct 28 after cutting the iron grill of the toilet window.

Police raided a cyber cafe in Jalan Thambi Pillay last night and seized ten gambling machines worth RM25,000. A local man was also detained.
