PUTRAJAYA, Nov 3 (Bernama) -- President Hu Jintao of China and President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono of Indonesia are scheduled to visit Malaysia next week, Foreign Minister Datuk Seri Anifah Aman said Tuesday.
He said Hu would be here on Nov 10 and 11 to reciprocate the state visits to China by Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin Syed Putra Jamalullail in 2005, when he was the Yang di-Pertuan Agong, and Yang di-Pertuan Agong Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin who had attended the official opening of the Beijing Olympics in August last year.
"This year also marks the 35th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Malaysia and China," he told a news conference.
Anifah said Hu was scheduled to have an audience with Tuanku Mizan at the Istana Negara and would attend a state banquet on the first day, and also have talks with Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak.
"Both sides will have discussions on enhancing bilateral cooperation," he said, adding that Hu would be accompanied by his wife Liu Yongqing, a 140-member delegation and 80 journalists.
Anifah said Susilo would begin a two-day visit to Malaysia on Nov 11, his first visit abroad after having taken his oath of office as the Indonesian president for a second term, from 2009 to 2014.
Susilo would be accorded a state welcome at Parliament Square, have an audience with Tuanku Mizan and hold talks with Najib.
Anifah said the two leaders would discuss, among others, efforts to step up bilateral cooperation pertaining to Indonesian manpower, maritime boundaries and international issues such as food security, energy and anti-terrorism measures.
