| Armed Forces To Work On Achieving 'One Armed Forces' |

KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 2 (Bernama) -- The cooperation and togetherness within the Malaysian Armed Forces can mould it into becoming 'One Armed Forces'.
Its former chief, Gen Tan Sri Abdul Aziz Zainal, said that these factors were important as they were in line with the regional and international changes which required members of the armed forces to be more authoritative and ready for future challenges.
"In the context of 'One Armed Forces', efforts to modernise the armed foces in terms of asset, technology and human capital, were currently being carried out.
"This move is seen as relevant in achieving the national defence policy and the national military strategy," he said in a speech at his farewell ceremony at the Royal Malaysian Air Force Subang Airbase here on Monday.
Also present was Armed Forces chief General Tan Sri Azizan Ariffin who succeeded Abdul Aziz on Sept 1.
He urged members of the armed forces to uphold their good image.
