| RTM To Give Wide Publicity On World Tour By Malaysians |

KUALA LUMPUR, April 24 (Bernama) -- Radio Television Malaysia (RTM) will give wide publicity to expeditions around the world participated by Malaysians, said Deputy Information Minister Datuk Ahmad Zahid Hamidi.
"Extreme sports like travelling around the world in vehicles, sailing boats, swimming across wide stretches of the sea and parachute jumping at the North Pole should get extensive media publicity as they are considered as a national program," he said after giving a briefing to participants of the UiTM World Motorbike Expedition 2007, here today.
A UiTM high achiever, Hazman Hussin, 23, with the cooperation of the Asian International Motorcycle Expo (AIME), will depart from the Kuala Lumpur Tower on April 29 riding an Aprilia Pegasa Strada 650, on a tour of 17 countries and return home on Aug 31.
The first country that he will travel to is Thailand.
"We hope the UiTM will provide sophisticated equipment such as a satellite telephone for him to communicate with the media at all time especially for the prime news on television," said Ahmad Zahid.
