Selangor, Perlis Advance To Division Two Final

IPOH, Nov 10 (Bernama) -- Selangor and Perlis have advanced into the Division Two final of the 55th Razak Cup Hockey tournament after defeating their respective opponents, tonight.

Selangor who finished at the top of Group A in Division Two beat ATM 4-0 at the Azlan Shah Stadium, here with two goals from Faridzul Afiq Mohd (41st and 43rd minutes) and one each from Nazirul Mubin Zebidi (55th minute) and Ahmad Hariz Syazani Ezani (60th minute).

Meanwhile, Perlis qualified for the final after defeating Pahang 4-0.

A brace from striker Tengku Ahmad Tajuddin Tengku Abd Jalil in the 7th and 9th minutes, and one each from Muhammad Najmi Farizal Jazlan and Kamaruddin Kodir Beraheng in the 27th and 48th minutes sealed the victory.

Selangor and Perlis will face each other this Sunday, and the winner will also be promoted to Division One next season.

Earlier, in the fifth to eighth placing matches for Division One, Penang beat PDRM 3-2, while Kuala Lumpur beat Johor 6-2.

The fifth to eighth placing games for Division Two saw Kelantan losing 2-3 to Singapore, and Indonesia winning 5-4 against Kedah.

In the Division One semifinals tomorrow, Perak play Melaka at 6pm while Terengganu will meet Negeri Sembilan at 8pm.
