IBR: 100 Per Cent Participation By Terengganu Government Employees

KUALA TERENGGANU, Feb 14 (Bernama) -- Terengganu's state administration became the first to draw 100 per cent participation of its employees in taking and signing the Corruption-Free Pledge (IBR) with the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC).

MACC chief commissioner Tan Sri Dzulkifli Ahmad said as of February 2017, the IBR only involved the staff in all eight local authorities in the state, followed by state administrative staff two months later.

"And today, seven Terengganu government-linked companies (GLCs) have also implemented the IBR with 65 other departments and agencies as well as statutory bodies under the state government's administration.

"These efforts should be commended because Terengganu has shown a very high commitment to the MACC's fight against corruption and abuse of power to ensure that services rendered are completely transparent and trustworthy."

He said this to reporters after the IBR pledge-taking and signing ceremony graced Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Ahmad Razif Abd Rahman here today.
